Flowers make for gorgeous centerpieces. But, for a bride who is looking for more unique décor, fruits and vegetables can be a great alternative. You can find some of the richest colors in these foods in the autumn season. We’ve come up with a few of our favorite uses of healthy, organic options for your big day.

Place Markers

Sure, some cute paper place markers can be perfect for some settings. But, sometimes, it’s good to catch your guests off guard. These apples are not only adorable, but they can also double as a tasty snack for your guests to take home. They add just the right amount of color to this otherwise bland table setting. If red isn’t your thing, apples come in so many other colors. How versatile!

Cabbage Centerpiece

There are still some romantic ways to incorporate some texture from vegetables into your centerpieces. This is a great example of achieve this. The dahlias and peonies are lovely on their own, but when we add cabbage roses, a more striking bouquet is created. We love the addition of leafy greens in this soft and peachy arrangement.

 Table “Numbers”

Some people may not be daring enough to use actual fruits and veggies on their big days… and that is okay! There are plenty of other alternatives such as this one. Instead of opting for the typical table numbers, have your guests find their seat by labeling tables “artichoke” or “pomegranate.”

As you can see, it is okay to think outside the box a little bit. Sure, tradition is great and flowers are beautiful. But, adding just a hint of diversity will make your wedding day that much more distinctive. Using fruits and vegetables will not only be a pretty addition, but it will also give your guests something to talk (and to rave) about.
