Inspiration Board – Fall Wedding

By: Chelsea DeSimone

Every now and then, I like to play around with the colors of the season. Once a color scheme pops into my head, my mind gets racing. Fall is finally arriving; as soon as Starbucks and Wawa have their pumpkin flavors out, you know that it’s really here. For this season, I really love plum and berry colors, as well as earthy tones. So, I’ve come up with a few essentials that I would use to create a rad autumn gathering.

Table Envy

(Blocked Dot Napkins & Kitchen Table Paper Wrap)

The first image is of Anthropologie’s Block Dot Napkins. If you want something a bit more exciting than solid linens, this print is subtle and still organic-looking. If you were to put these napkins on a table covered in the tablecloth in the second picture, you’d be sure to create an awesome looking table. The kitchen table printed paper line dinner tables and make for easy clean up.

Flower Envy

I am in love with this stunning bouquet by Sullivan Owen. This was created for BHLDN and it could not be more perfect. The variety in the texture of the blooms paired with the soft pink and purple palette would be perfect for an autumn wedding.

Invite Envy

Minted is my go-to site for wedding invitations. There are just so many sweet indie designs that are reasonably priced. This design by Laura Hankins won her a design challenge. I cannot deny that this invitation is a beauty. The simplicity of the shape and the purple stamp are the ideal combination. Not to mention, I am a sucker for an amazing font… which, this one totally is.

Fall weddings are my favorite for so many reasons. But, most of all, I love the hues of nature that is able to incorporate into these special days. If you are struggling to choose a scheme that speaks to you, head to your local farmer’s market to browse the fruits and veggies – trust me, some of those colors are kind of to die for.
